The Pigs of Proud Spirit!

Having run up the embankment from
the road, they headed down into the woods
and hid behind a log. They remained
wedged there and I was able to pick them up.
Climbing through briars,
carrying one piglet at a time.
We reached the safety of the truck.
A safe, warm place.
With friends visiting, we set out in the truck for town.  Less than two hundred yards from home, I saw two small animals moving alongside the edge of the road and immediately realized they were tiny piglets.  I got out of the truck to approach them but they ran up the embankment and down into the woods and briars on the other side.  While others watched where they had gone, I drove home quickly to get blankets and the cat carrier/crate.
Pointing the way.
Hungry!  Hungry!  Hungry!
Nina sez: Are you my mommy?
Bessie: Uh, nooooo
We named the larger one, who has black ears and larger black spots, Mimi.
The smaller one is Nina.  The names just seemed to fit.
Good pig daddy... the second he sits down they crawl into his arms and go to sleep.
Louie takes over as head piggie sitter and playground.
Mimi and Nina explore the flower bed while Louis keeps a close eye on them. His maternal instincts have definitely kicked in.
A hug for Nina!
Nap time for Nina . . . and Louie.
Mimi climbing Louie - The Playground.
She's getting bigger Louie!
Jim building "Pig-mahal" under the watchful eyes of "The Building Inspectors".

Trudi and Kirby checking out their new piggy sisters.
